Dear Friends:
First and foremost, I would like to thank my family and friends for all the wonderful support and encouragement throughout this process. While the result was disappointing, there were so many positives that came out of this campaign. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I decided to run for the Democratic nomination for the 35th District because I felt that I had the capacity to serve and there was no greater honor than to represent the community in which I was born and raised. I am grateful to have met so many citizens at their doors. There are many ways to give back to this community and I will continue to do so.
I congratulate Mark Keam and his organization for this victory and the other candidates and their staff for good spirited and well fought campaigns.
This primary season was unique in its challenges. All four candidates had strong support from the community. It is now that we have to come together to work for solutions to the issues that confront the citizens of the 35th District, including transportation, education and the economy. Mark Keam and his campaign need our help and I fully support Mark in his race to become the next delegate for the 35th District. I urge my opponents in the primary and their supporters to commit to working for Mark.
Again, thank you for your support in this incredible journey.
With warmest regards, John |
